Harry Potter Shop Harajuku Opening 14th August 2025
This new store follows in the footsteps of locations at London’s King’s Cross Station, New York, Chicago, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour shops in London and Tokyo, and the recently renovated Harry Potter Shop in Akasaka.
Situated in Harajuku — one of the world’s premier commercial districts and a vibrant hub for culture, fashion, and trends — this store is located along a lush, tree-lined avenue. Inspired by the Forbidden Forest, the mysterious woodland within the grounds of Hogwarts where magical creatures quietly reside, the shop offers a unique space where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Harry Potter and discover a variety of magical items.

The approximately 900-square-meter store, designed around the concept of the “Forbidden Forest,” spans two floors—ground and upper—and offers an immersive experience that feels like stepping deep into an enchanted woodland. As you venture further inside, you'll be greeted politely by Buckbeak the Hippogriff, a magical creature featured in the third film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
From fashion items to everyday goods, the store is filled with exclusive products that can only be found here—perfect for souvenirs or commemorating your visit.
Step into Two Stories of Wonder
On the first floor, you’ll find a section dedicated to “Harajuku-exclusive merchandise” as well as the “House Pride” corner, where items representing the four Hogwarts houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin) are available.
Upstairs on the second floor, there’s a “MinaLima” corner showcasing items designed by the graphic duo behind the films' iconic artwork, a “Confectionery” section offering sweets featured in the movies like Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans and Chocolate Frogs, and even a “Butterbeer Bar.”
The popular wizarding world drink Butterbeer is available in only two places in Tokyo: the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo and here at the Harry Potter Shop Harajuku. Enjoy this iconic beverage as a delightful break during your shopping experience.
